Individual Therapy: Reclaiming Your Authentic Self

$90

At Authentic Love Counseling, individual therapy is a space to reconnect with your most authentic self—free from judgment, expectation, or pressure to conform. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, shame, or low self-worth, or simply feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, therapy can help you understand and transform those inner experiences.

We support clients working through:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Shame, guilt, and self-criticism

  • Disordered eating and body image concerns

  • LGBTQIA+ identity exploration and challenges

  • Life transitions and uncertainty

  • Psychedelic integration

  • Navigating societal or cultural “norms” that feel misaligned

  • Relationship and friendship struggles

  • Motivation, meaning, and self-worth

Our approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. Using mindfulness-based practices, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing, we work with you to uncover the beliefs, emotions, and experiences that shape your inner world. You’ll be supported in developing emotional resilience, building self-trust, and fostering a more loving, honest relationship with yourself.

This is a space to honor your truth, break free from shame, and begin living with more purpose, presence, and authenticity.

Relationship Therapy: Building Authentic Love Together

$120

Relationships—whether monogamous, ethically non-monogamous (ENM), polyamorous, or somewhere in between—are complex, dynamic, and deeply personal. At Authentic Love Counseling, we provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space for couples and partners to strengthen their connection and navigate challenges with openness, empathy, and clarity.

We help relationships move through:

  • Communication breakdowns or emotional disconnection

  • Rebuilding trust or intimacy

  • Conflict resolution and healthy boundaries

  • Exploring or managing ENM/Polyamory dynamics

  • Balancing autonomy with togetherness

  • Attachment wounds or past relational trauma

  • Life transitions and shifting roles

  • Sexuality and desire discrepancies

We integrate powerful, evidence-based modalities like the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples build emotional safety, express needs more clearly, and reestablish connection. These tools allow us to gently explore relational patterns, unpack emotional reactivity, and create new pathways for understanding and collaboration.

Our work together is rooted in the belief that every relationship has the potential to cultivate a more honest, fulfilling, and authentic love.

Whether you're navigating a rough patch, starting a new chapter, or simply wanting to deepen the bond you share, relationship therapy can be a transformative step toward creating the love you want—together.

Sliding Scale Rates

I believe therapy should be as accessible as possible. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on annual household income. These rates are available on the honor system—no documentation required.

Household Income Individual Rate Relationship Rate

Under $30,000 $45 $60

$30,000 – $49,999 $60 $80

$50,000 – $74,999 $75 $100

If cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We can discuss availability for sliding scale options.

Why I Don’t Accept Insurance

I've chosen not to work directly with insurance companies for several important reasons:

  1. No Required Diagnosis
Insurance reimbursement typically requires a formal mental health diagnosis and documentation that therapy is “medically necessary.” This can pathologize your experience and become part of your permanent health record. By working privately, we can focus on your growth, relationships, and healing—without needing to label your experience in clinical terms.

  2. Greater Privacy & Flexibility
Not billing insurance means your information stays between us. You have more control over your treatment, including the freedom to decide your goals, pace, and how long we work together—without outside limitations.

  3. Relationship Therapy Isn’t Covered
Most insurance plans don’t cover couples or relationship therapy unless one partner is diagnosed with a mental health condition and the treatment is framed around that diagnosis. I believe in supporting relationships as inherently valuable and deserving of care, regardless of diagnosis.

While I don't bill insurance directly, I’m happy to provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) if you'd like to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance provider. However, a Superbill would also require a diagnosis, but we can discuss this together.
